Kisetsu was a Izakaya style restaurant tucked upstairs inside a white tiled building. It was a small and cosy space which only seated 4 people, and the food was cooked by one chef. Words cannot describe the atmosphere and energy I felt inside the restaurant. The three Japanese ladies sitting next to me were so full of life and the chef made the most delicious food. I had the breakfast set and sashimi and they were served on some incredibly beautiful plates. I hope I can encapsulate this energy and sense of life into my own work.
