Going up to the Tokyo Skytree Tower and seeing the view was jaw dropping. Unlike Melbourne the whole city just stretches out into buildings in every direction. It really made me realise how much bigger the world is and seeing all the different tourists how we all live such different lives. Even Tokyo’s population 14 million is more than half of Australia’s 26 million. My work often explores themes of identity and it’s so interesting to see how everyones individual identity is shaped and formed by their environment.
