My first ever capsule hotel. I was so surprised by all the amenities provided and size of the hotel. When we checked in there were so many people and we were shocked at how many people could fit! The accommodation was older but gave it a sense of comfort. Surprisingly it didn’t feel claustrophobic but really made me consider how space is used in Japan. Having such a large population and especially in the big cities the efficiency of the space used is mind-blowing. In pottery space and form is a big consideration but it has also taught me to consider where my work sits in space too.
